Corinthians Paulista's Cristiano Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Ramos in the 72nd minute of play. With his leg Válter Paes managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Corinthians Paulista's Dieguinho Marinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dieguinho Marinho got free with Válter Paes in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corinthians Paulista were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ibiara SS to leave the ground with a draw.
