In the 5th minute, Elias Siöman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Válter Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Billock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válter Paes came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Nordic Union's Olof Felin. But to his dismay, Olof Felin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Ibiara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Billock came free, but Válter Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Ivar Billock notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ibiara SS's Válter Paes. Válter Paes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nordic Union's goalkeeper Henrik Myr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Ivar Billock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Válter Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Nordic Union getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ulf Stål hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ivar Billock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter Paes was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 33 minutes into the game, Ivar Billock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Válter Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 40 played minutes Ibiara SS got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Maranhense. Ibiara SS's Válter Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Felin in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorival Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Nordic Union's Olof Felin in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibiara SS's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Ibiara SS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Maicon Gonçalves hit a great ball. In the 68th minute of the match Ivar Billock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Válter Paes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Olof Felin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Válter Paes. That made the score 0-6 in the 75 minute of play. After 81 minutes, Olof Felin made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Ibiara SS's Válter Paes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 86 minutes, Gildo Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibiara SS and the Nordic Union players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibiara SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Ivar Billock walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Olof Felin took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Válter Paes. Válter Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Nordic Union's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
