But to his dismay, György Hidegkúti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After the first half Keszi Athletic were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyrus Crouch made a kick off. Russ Thorne hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Keszi Athletic's Dénes Medgyesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Willingham in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Dániel Ábrahám hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dénes Medgyesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolph Saunders, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute.
