After some careless play in the Itajaí Football Club defense, Romário Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Mattos. The Itajaí Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Mattos should have stopped the shot. Carlinhos da Silveira lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Luiz Gustavo Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when Templários MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Templários MZC's goalie and right to André Luís King. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Templários MZC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Itajaí Football Club getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. André Luís King hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Templários MZC's Chico Salles got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Luís Paulo de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Luiz Gustavo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
