Fellipe Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fellipe Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Noia's Fellipe Meirelles got a free kick in the 11th minute. Dagoberto Dracena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Şerif Çetinay came out and tried to block the shot, but Dagoberto Dracena slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. A collision led to Noia getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Evaristo Vinhas hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Dagoberto Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Maurinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dagoberto Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Trindade Atlético Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto Dracena couldn't finish the play. Dagoberto Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şerif Çetinay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Noia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Dagoberto Dracena scored to the left of an out of position Şerif Çetinay, making the score, 2-0. Şerif Çetinay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto Dracena in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagoberto Dracena got free with Şerif Çetinay in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Noia's Şerif Çetinay got control of the ball when Dagoberto Dracena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Miclea in the 45th minute of play. Vintilă Ungur struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Şerif Çetinay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trindade Atlético Club. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silviu Miclea was the one to do the kick off. Şerif Çetinay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 56th minute of play. Trindade Atlético Club's attentive Fulgencio Rius managed to snatch the ball when Ademar Soares made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Dracena in the 61st minute of play forced Noia's goalkeeper Şerif Çetinay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dagoberto Dracena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şerif Çetinay was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. When Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Róbson Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şerif Çetinay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Róbson Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şerif Çetinay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Trindade Atlético Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
