Erik Paulista hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Azmi Enver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Sabóia having to interfere. BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Fonseca in the 19th minute of play. With his leg Zé Sabóia managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when BURITIS FC's Gil Paulista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 25 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Fonseca. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Fonseca in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Unai saved BURITIS FC from getting behind. BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Fonseca in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Fonseca in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Unai saved BURITIS FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Azmi Enver got free with Zé Sabóia in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Fonseca. If Eliseu Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Eliseu Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Gabriel Bati made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute of the match Jairo Trancoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Unai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito da Mata in the 58th minute of play. Vito da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Saiko FC booed when BURITIS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BURITIS FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Gil Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the BURITIS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Paulista couldn't finish the play. Zé Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gil Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Rubens Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. BURITIS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubens Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BURITIS FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saiko FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
