The corner led Howden United's Faris Shiong to fire away a dangerous shot which Hias Nüssli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Switzerland from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Montrelle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gustav Iseli made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Howden United's Faris Shiong. 32 minutes into the match, Anacleto Guillen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hias Nüssli, 2-1. Anacleto Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Guillen in the 37th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 51st minute, Anacleto Guillen made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Mohammad Pieng put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hias Nüssli. In the 57th minute, Gustav Iseli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gustav Iseli hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anacleto Guillen in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. 75 minutes into the game, Alex Cheng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Howden United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Switzerland the free kick. Jonas Montrelle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuele Kunz in the 76th minute. Switzerland were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Howden United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuele Kunz took the corner. Switzerland's attentive Jacinto Maurer managed to snatch the ball when Anacleto Guillen made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Prime Lum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Howden United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. Mohammad Pieng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Switzerland's Timo Siegmund managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anacleto Guillen in the 93 minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, Howden United could leave the field as winners, despite Switzerland having more of the ball for most of the match.
