Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Matías Brasil took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Green Squad FC's zone, Matías Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Fillol came out of the goal and Matías Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Brasil in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ubaldo Fillol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 7 played minutes Botafogo MZRJ got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Loureiro. A hard shot 8 in the game by Leonardo Barros from a close distance when the talented Férid Khalifa managed to make a qualified save. Botafogo MZRJ's players were relieved. Férid Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Barros in the 11th minute of the match. Botafogo MZRJ's Matías Brasil managed to work through Green Squad FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Matías Brasil dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ubaldo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Leonardo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Leonardo Barros fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Férid Khalifa moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. Igor Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matías Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's Matías Brasil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ubaldo Fillol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Matías Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Botafogo MZRJ's Murillo Loureiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ubaldo Fillol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Leonardo Barros sped through Botafogo MZRJ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Férid Khalifa. In the 46th minute of the match Green Squad FC got a corner. Botafogo MZRJ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo Barros ran over to the corner to take the kick. Green Squad FC's Leonardo Barros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Férid Khalifa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 48 minutes into the game, Botafogo MZRJ's Matías Brasil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ubaldo Fillol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
If Murillo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matías Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ubaldo Fillol having to make a save. Willian Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Green Squad FC's Ubaldo Fillol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Green Squad FC from getting a goal against them. In the 61st match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Félix to maneuver through the defense. If Anderson Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Matías Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Matías Brasil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ubaldo Fillol. That made the score 2-3 in the 76 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murillo Loureiro got free with Ubaldo Fillol in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Barral in the 81st minute of play forced Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Nilmar Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ubaldo Fillol made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Serginho Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ubaldo Fillol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 89 minutes, Matías Brasil made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Green Squad FC's Ubaldo Fillol tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Matías Brasil came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Botafogo MZRJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías Brasil couldn't finish the play. Botafogo MZRJ played a much better game than Green Squad FC and deserved their victory. The Green Squad FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
