Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Homer Gol to make the kick off. Carl Downes might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hasret Şahinalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as Simoneta FC's Maximino Ursino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tim Johnstone. That made the score 1-5 after 82 minutes of play. A collision led to Simoneta FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Albano Soin hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goalkeeper Tim Johnstone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florentino Laurin. Hasret Şahinalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Downes's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
