Férid Khalifa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Rincón de los Sauces AFC's goalkeeper Galip Öveç had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murillo Loureiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Barral in the 15th minute of play forced Rincón de los Sauces AFC's goalkeeper Galip Öveç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilmar Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galip Öveç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Couto in the 21st minute of play. When Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 28th minute Lisandro Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Férid Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Couto in the 30th minute of play forced Rincón de los Sauces AFC's goalkeeper Galip Öveç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rincón de los Sauces AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Murillo Loureiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Botafogo MZRJ's players had a chance to rest. 35 minutes into the match, Rincón de los Sauces AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Couto came free, but Galip Öveç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Rincón de los Sauces AFC's Geronimo Isauro to fire away a dangerous shot which Férid Khalifa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Galip Öveç was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the match, Rincón de los Sauces AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Loureiro came free, but Galip Öveç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Ekialde made a kick off. Rincón de los Sauces AFC's Galip Öveç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Couto in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 played minutes Rincón de los Sauces AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Tanio. Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Jose Eliazar put in a rough tackle. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rincón de los Sauces AFC! Galip Öveç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Couto in the 65th minute of the match. If Timoteo Bladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rincón de los Sauces AFC's Galip Öveç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Barral in the 71st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Gilmar Couto put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Galip Öveç. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rincón de los Sauces AFC's goalkeeper Galip Öveç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Serginho Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Lisandro Ekialde came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Rincón de los Sauces AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Ekialde couldn't finish the play. Botafogo MZRJ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rincón de los Sauces AFC for a fine match.
