When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Egil Jakobsson sped through Gnesta Oilers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Holger Vennerlund. In the 18thth minute of the game Egil Jakobsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stor Stad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Holger Vennerlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claes Landin kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Holger Vennerlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stor Stad in the 25th minute of the match. Ninjas FK were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Gnesta Oilers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ingemar Kaxe took the corner. The corner ended in Ingemar Kaxe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund did a great save. Gnesta Oilers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 33 minutes into the match, Karl-Ove Söderström notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ninjas FK's Anders Engström. Anders Engström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Torbjörn Alin made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ninjas FK's Egil Jakobsson. John Dahlquist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Anders Engström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Holger Vennerlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egil Jakobsson's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half Ninjas FK were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egil Jakobsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stor Stad in the 54th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Gnesta Oilers's Torbjörn Odeen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Torbjörn Odeen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gnesta Oilers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Torbjörn Odeen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gnesta Oilers! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Ninjas FK. After 77 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Birger Skoglund. Holger Vennerlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stor Stad, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund got control of the ball when Egil Jakobsson tried to sneak it across the goal line.
