Paolo Rossi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Borimir Karamanchev having to make a save. 6 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Blas's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Borimir Karamanchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Borimir Karamanchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Stefano in the 15th minute of play forced Club Atletico Blas's goalkeeper Borimir Karamanchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the game Norberto Lluc made a throw-in which Justino Maule played forward. Paolo Rossi might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Borimir Karamanchev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paolo Rossi ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Rossi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Konstanty Figlewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Blas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paolo Rossi was slow to take the kick. During this time La Gallardeta's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Paolo Rossi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Borimir Karamanchev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 30thth minute of the game Flavio Gonchan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Rossi couldn't finish the play. Paolo Rossi scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borimir Karamanchev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Club Atletico Blas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Gallardeta were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justino Maule stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Borimir Karamanchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Chayo in the 55th minute of the match. The corner ended in Dalmacio Gartzea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Chayo got free with Borimir Karamanchev in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Rafael Haimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borimir Karamanchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes Club Atletico Blas got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Quintana. In the 65th minute Cirilo Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Odon in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev got control of the ball when Rafael Haimar tried to sneak it across the goal line. La Gallardeta's Esteban Leizarraga was substituted for Teodoro Delfino. Borimir Karamanchev was a little too slow when Amado Chayo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-5. When Fernando Dantae came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Dantae couldn't finish the play. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when Club Atletico Blas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Quintana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Rafael Haimar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Borimir Karamanchev, passed just outside the right post. 86 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Blas's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Haimar came free, but Borimir Karamanchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Fernando Dantae recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Borimir Karamanchev. Fernando Dantae showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. With a little luck, Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev got control of the ball when Amado Chayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Borimir Karamanchev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amado Chayo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 89 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Haimar in the 92nd minute of play forced Club Atletico Blas's goalkeeper Borimir Karamanchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Dantae kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Borimir Karamanchev. That made the score 0-8 in the 93 minute of play. Club Atletico Blas's Borimir Karamanchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Dantae in the 96th minute of play.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Gallardeta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
