Goo Goo Dolls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Vander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Boni in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Vander in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Cuss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 played minutes Nada Pontual F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Gomez. With an all-out effort, Goo Goo Dolls's Duda Berger threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olimpiu Dragnea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Felix Lane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Duda Berger made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Cacá Mangione got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Lane might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duda Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Lane ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Dragnea got free with Duda Berger in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Lanes short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Duda Berger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Duda Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Dragnea in the 43rd minute of the match. Duda Berger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gianluca Infante. 47 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Vander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Benjamin Cuss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Goo Goo Dolls players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nada Pontual F.C were winning 0-3.

If Macit Buyrukalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duda Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Goo Goo Dolls's Kenny Anson was substituted for Dom Rusby. Goo Goo Dolls's Trey Hughes-Guy was substituted for Fábio Quintal. Benjamin Cuss was a little too slow when Macit Buyrukalp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 72nd minute, Macit Buyrukalp made a precise shot to the right of Benjamin Cuss. Goo Goo Dolls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After 76 minutes of play, Nada Pontual F.C's Macit Buyrukalp made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Cuss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nada Pontual F.C's Cauã Ramos was substituted for Edgar Trigo. Macit Buyrukalp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Benjamin Cuss when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 82nd minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duda Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
