Hortêncio Vander scored 1-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cliff Thomas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hortêncio Vander might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cliff Thomas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hortêncio Vander ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute, Hortêncio Vander made a precise shot to the right of Cliff Thomas. MILTON f.c.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ambrosio Boni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Cliff Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cliff Thomas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hortêncio Vander went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Nada Pontual F.C's Hortêncio Vander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cliff Thomas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Cliff Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 25 minutes of play, Nada Pontual F.C's Edgar Trigo made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cliff Thomas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The corner led Nada Pontual F.C's Bernabe Gomez to fire away a dangerous shot which Cliff Thomas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Samuel Moreno with Onyewuchi Obikwelu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Nada Pontual F.C fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Nada Pontual F.C's Hortêncio Vander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hortêncio Vander scored 1-7 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cliff Thomas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Hortêncio Vander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cliff Thomas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. After the first half Nada Pontual F.C were leading 1-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nada Pontual F.C's Macit Buyrukalp was substituted for Hortêncio Vander. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Macit Buyrukalp was the one to do the kick off. If Macit Buyrukalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cliff Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macit Buyrukalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute, MILTON f.c.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ambrosio Boni fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Nada Pontual F.C booed when MILTON f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Kiewra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Macit Buyrukalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macit Buyrukalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cliff Thomas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Ambrosio Boni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-9. Cliff Thomas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. MILTON f.c.'s Alvaro Michael was substituted for Octavio Toribio. After 71 played minutes MILTON f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Michael. The supporters of Nada Pontual F.C booed when MILTON f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Michael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cliff Thomas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Macit Buyrukalp's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Macit Buyrukalp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Cliff Thomas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Duda Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Ruisko in the 79th minute of the match. MILTON f.c.'s Cliff Thomas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cliff Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nada Pontual F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
