Tommy Bond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Goo Goo Dolls's Dom Rusby slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Bond. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. Tommy Bond was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Olimpiu Dragnea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olimpiu Dragnea really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Tommy Bond successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tommy Bond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dom Rusby in the 31st minute of play. Tommy Bond was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dom Rusby showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 34 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olimpiu Dragnea in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Bond saved Witney City from getting behind. When Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Witney City's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olimpiu Dragnea made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Goo Goo Dolls's Teddy Ball got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Matteo Gillis made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Bond. Witney City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After some careless play in the Witney City defense, Matteo Gillis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Bond. The Witney City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Bond should have stopped the shot. Tommy Bond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matteo Gillis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Cuss made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Tim Hurren sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Bond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goo Goo Dolls were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Witney City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olimpiu Dragnea took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gerry Greenfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goo Goo Dolls's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerry Greenfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Bond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olimpiu Dragnea in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Bond saved Witney City from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, Olimpiu Dragnea notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Witney City's Tommy Bond. Tommy Bond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd match minute, Goo Goo Dolls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Anson to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, Goo Goo Dolls's Matteo Gillis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Bond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Goo Goo Dolls fully deserved thier win.
