Beat Vid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 7 minutes into the game, Frans Baltzer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Aioros FC's Fernando Hierro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 8 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Xabat came free, but Beat Vid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jess Carnduff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Chandeiro in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Chandeiro in the 13th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Jess Carnduff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Aioros FC's Beat Vid got control of the ball when Manfred Kottsieper tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jess Carnduff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Chandeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Lech Wawrukiewicz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Aioros FC's Beat Vid did a great save. Mateusz Rydel hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Aioros FC's Jose Miguel Núñez was substituted for Bento Chandeiro. Beat Vid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Lech Wawrukiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beat Vid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Müller's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Anton Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Miguel Núñez made a kick off. After some careless play in the Aioros FC defense, Valter Xabat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beat Vid. The Aioros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beat Vid should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes in the game Saverio Alcocer did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fernando Hierro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Xabat in the 62nd minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Louis Leißner hit a great ball. Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Xabat in the 71st minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jess Carnduff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Perón, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Saverio Alcocer made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alemannia Aachen's Aulis Salomaa. Jess Carnduff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aioros FC's Beat Vid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Müller in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Valter Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alemannia Aachen's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Xabat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beat Vid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Alemannia Aachen fully deserved thier win.
