Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hílton Guedes in the 21st minute. Benjamim Vargas was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Yaji FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Gorri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Bras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Nova Erechim - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Hílton Guedes went to the cornerflag to take it. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Hílton Guedes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gavino Bras in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yaji FC's Gavino Bras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Yaji FC from getting a goal against them. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Afonsinho Figueiredo was substituted for Benjamim Vargas. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natalio Polentzi made a kick off. Celso Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Zé Roberto Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Bras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Polentzi in the 63rd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Sandro Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yaji FC's Gavino Bras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Roberto Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Bras having to interfere. Juan Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Adolfo Cordera sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Yaji FC booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Cearense in the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, José Vítor Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
