In the 5thth minute of the game Benedito Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yaji FC's Gavino Bras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Mineiro in the 9th minute of play forced Yaji FC's goalkeeper Gavino Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaji FC's goalkeeper Gavino Bras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Castanheiro SC's Benedito Mineiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Yaji FC booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jonas Lalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Polentzi in the 19th minute of play. Pedrinho Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Polentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Célio Vianna hit a great ball. Umberto Dionísio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Gavino Bras 27 minutes into the match. Gavino Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Alagoano. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Polentzi in the 32nd minute of play. When Prospero Francesco fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yaji FC's protests and gave Prospero Francesco a yellow card for diving instead. Prospero Francesco kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Magno Pereira struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gavino Bras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Natalio Polentzi to strike the kick off in the second half. Gavino Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Mineiro in the 50th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Dionísio in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Bras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yaji FC's Gavino Bras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 53rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Yaji FC's Pedrinho Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonas Lalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Melchor Estefan kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Umberto Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavino Bras came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Umberto Dionísio. But to his dismay, Umberto Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gavino Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Mineiro in the 72nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yaji FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Castanheiro SC.
