The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A wasted opportunity for ITAFUT 4EVER. 8 minutes into the game, Godfredo Ermano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yaji FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ITAFUT 4EVER the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Yaji FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Ermano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 11 minutes, José Augusto Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ITAFUT 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Yaji FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nunez Danel hit a great ball. Gavino Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Novaes in the 15th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Estefan. Gavino Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Mineiro in the 24th minute of play. Gavino Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Melchor Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Edgar Baiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Bras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jardel Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Francesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Augusto Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Gavino Bras made a huge save. After 34 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Danel. Gavino Bras had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Edgar Baiano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Edgar Baiano scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Bras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gavino Bras made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when José Augusto Novaes sent off a good shot on target. Jardel Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Francesco in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Augusto Novaes to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Yaji FC defense, José Augusto Novaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Bras. The Yaji FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Bras should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Mineiro in the 57th minute of play forced Yaji FC's goalkeeper Gavino Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
