Fidel Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Arnau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Maravilla and the Monte Hermoso Beach players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Damian Cesaro got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Leandro Cefero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maravilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte Hermoso Beach the free kick. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maravilla! Paulo Arnau kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, Monte Hermoso Beach's Fidel Lorien got control of the ball when Roque Iratzeder tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Maravilla defense, Maximo Lico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paolo Munio. The Maravilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paolo Munio should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Delmar Playo got a free kick in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Lico came free, but Paolo Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Lico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Munio having to interfere. Maximo Lico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Lico in the 45th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Paolo Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Maximo Lico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Paolo Munio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Lorien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Playo in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Tobias Banegas got a free kick in the 79th minute.
