Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cyrus Crouch started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 16th minute Delmar Playo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Nesbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cyrus Crouch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Paolo Munio made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Delmar Playo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maravilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Playo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruce Nesbitt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerard Reed made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Russ Thorne. Cyrus Crouch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Russ Thorne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Paolo Munio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmar Playo made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Delmar Playo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruce Nesbitt. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Bruce Nesbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Playo in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Russ Thorne came free, but Paolo Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes, Leandro Cefero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maravilla and the Cosmos Soccer Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Cefero. In the 65th minute, Franklin Willingham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 75 minutes into the match, Cyrus Crouch notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Maravilla's Paolo Munio. Paolo Munio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Playo to maneuver through the defense. Maravilla's Delmar Playo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Russ Thorne struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Paolo Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos Soccer Club. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Cosmos Soccer Club's Cyrus Crouch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Maravilla booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Weldon Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Banegas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruce Nesbitt having to make a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cosmos Soccer Club had played much better football throughout.
