The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iván Leguizamón's late challenge caught a Sporting Buceo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iván Leguizamón helped the player get up and apologised. Iván Leguizamón kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Claudio Biaggio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Cesaro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Guillen Ubiña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Leguizamón in the 14th minute of play. A hard shot 16 in the game by Estevez Lavega from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Barovero managed to make a qualified save. Maravilla's players were relieved. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piearres Somiedo in the 19th minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Estevez Lavega in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maravilla's zone, Estevez Lavega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal and Estevez Lavega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guillen Ubiña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Biaggio in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Paulo Arnau hit a great ball. If Piearres Somiedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

56 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Estevez Lavega came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Buceo's Erroman Delgado pulled a muscle in his leg after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sporting Buceo's Vachon Camaño was substituted for Erroman Delgado. The supporters of Sporting Buceo booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Estevez Lavega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcelo Barovero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maravilla's Eliseo Benvide got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Eliseo Benvide off the ground. After 66 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Benvide. After 70 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Damian Cesaro. After 71 minutes of play, Sporting Buceo's Estevez Lavega made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Barovero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Estevez Lavega came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaizki Colina scored 3-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Barovero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bartoleme Ceja hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Iván Leguizamón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Reno. In the 84th minute of the match Nardo Tuo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Barovero skillfully saved the ball. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piearres Somiedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidoro Romeu kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Iván Leguizamón. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevez Lavega in the 93rd minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Paulo Arnau got a free kick in the 94th minute. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estevez Lavega, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Sporting Buceo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
