When Nardo Tuo fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Buceo's protests and gave Nardo Tuo a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Nardo Tuo. Jaizki Colina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jonatan Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monte Hermoso Beach made a substitution. Miguel Joseph replaced Benjamin Arotza. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Estevez Lavega made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gregorio Bastian managed to get in a good position for a shot.
