In the 10th minute, Al-Fajuth's Fabrício Brunovskis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fabrício Brunovskis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Al-Fajuth protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fabrício Brunovskis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Al-Fajuth fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Al-Fajuth:s Édouard Mendy showed great skill when he stopped Tobias Banegas:s penalty. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Maravilla's Tobias Banegas. But to his dismay, Tobias Banegas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Maravilla's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Eliseu Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes, Eliseo Benvide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maravilla and the Al-Fajuth players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Eliseo Benvide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Iván Leguizamón got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseu Alagoano. Thanks to some nice moves Eliseu Alagoano could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Marcelo Barovero however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Alagoano got free with Marcelo Barovero in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Iván Leguizamón hit a great ball. Eliseu Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Marcelo Barovero made a huge save. Santiago Reno's late challenge caught a Al-Fajuth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Reno helped the player get up and apologised. Santiago Reno kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Alagoano got free with Marcelo Barovero in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Maravilla were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseu Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. Maravilla's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 53rd minute of play. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Meireles in the 57th minute of play. Marcelo Barovero didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 63rd minute Eliseu Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Patricio Cedro got a free kick in the 67th minute. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 68th minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maicon Zanette during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Maicon Zanette got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 88 minutes of play Maravilla's Eliseo Benvide was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Eliseo Benvide hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Maravilla's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 90th minute of play. Al-Fajuth's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
