Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Basarab Irod kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Avram Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Avram Elenescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Tilea was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 6 minutes into the game, Cătălin Arjoca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avram Elenescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gigel Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Baldovin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Traian Balaban left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Buzău fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Strugure came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Academia Rio's Dorel Nedelciu was substituted for Basarab Irod. The wind increased when Avram Elenescu made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Dejeu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
