Alexandru Negreanu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 24 minutes into the match, FC MeHigh's goalkeeper Iordache Albu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Păvăloae. Cai Yue Guang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Curuțiu in the 26th minute of play. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Laurențiu Loghin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paul Ivasiuc, made in the 28th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Curuțiu came free, but Cai Yue Guang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Iosub to maneuver through the defense. Eric Păvăloae's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iordache Albu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Ninjas in Pyjamas's corner Rareș Tatulici fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iordache Albu quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC MeHigh's Paul Ivasiuc got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Păvăloae to strike the kick off in the second half. FC MeHigh's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saruhan Akyazıcı in the 54th minute. The corner led FC MeHigh's Edgardo Dalmai to fire away a dangerous shot which Cai Yue Guang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Isac Ţiriac hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iordache Albu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Ninjas in Pyjamas from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in FC MeHigh's zone, Eric Păvăloae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Albu came out of the goal and Eric Păvăloae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ninjas in Pyjamas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
