The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Josan got free with Victor Negara in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Tornadele Siret getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Maxim Creangă hit a great ball. Oscar Caballero hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Tornadele Siret's goal looked a bit too open when Shen Xi Bang came free, but Ricardinho Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Mutu in the 26th minute of play forced Rovine Craiova's goalkeeper Victor Negara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Tornadele Siret got a corner. Rovine Craiova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrian Mutu ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 31st minute, Tornadele Siret's Adam Vârnav dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 36th minute, Kacper Štilić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ricardinho Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manole Frunză's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Ricardinho Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Frunză, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manole Frunză to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes got control of the ball when Jyrki Saarelainen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Negara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Enătescu in the 60th minute of the match. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Tudorică in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Rovine Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Josan came free, but Victor Negara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardinho Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Tudorică in the 71st minute of the match. Manole Frunză had several of the Tornadele Siret's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Ricardinho Lopes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Tornadele Siret from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Manole Frunză kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardinho Lopes. That made the score 2-3 in the 78 minute of play. After 82 played minutes Rovine Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Manole Frunză. Alexandru Tudorică could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ricardinho Lopes made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rovine Craiova eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
