In the 4th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Petriceanu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea got control of the ball when Sami Zübeyr tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Sami Zübeyr lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Gigel Tilea. Gigel Tilea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sami Zübeyr's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Sami Zübeyr to score against Gigel Tilea in Academia Rio's goal. 2-0 after 15 minutes. Academia Rio's Doru Dobrinescu was substituted for Marin Giubelean. Gigel Tilea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sami Zübeyr's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The throw-in from Doru Dobrinescu in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Maci -MM-'s Rareș Ignea. If Sami Zübeyr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Sergiu Coșeriu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Maci -MM- were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Academia Rio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dieter Nisipeanu took the corner. The corner led FC Maci -MM-'s Igor Czapski to a score. 3-0 in the 35th minute. Sami Zübeyr might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigel Tilea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sami Zübeyr ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sami Zübeyr got free with Gigel Tilea in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Jean Oltean got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sami Zübeyr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimir Kramnik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 56th minute. The FC Maci -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vladimir Kramnik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Irod, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 67 minutes of play, FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Tilea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sami Zübeyr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Tilea having to interfere. Igor Czapski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigel Tilea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 81 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dieter Nisipeanu who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergiu Coșeriu got free with Vladimir Kramnik in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
