The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Ninjas in Pyjamas from getting a goal against them. Pastor Ellow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Atahan Kutbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Isăilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atahan Kutbay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Ninjas in Pyjamas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rareș Tatulici in the 21st minute. Yu Chen Sha made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ninjas in Pyjamas's Kenneth Almkvist. The throw-in from Yu Chen Sha in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ninjas in Pyjamas's Hector Morientes. Emanuele Clementi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Manuel Isăilă might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atahan Kutbay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Isăilă ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Isăilă came free, but Atahan Kutbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of -BZF- Petrolul Berca booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Isăilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldinho Marioara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Isăilă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Manuel Isăilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atahan Kutbay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cai Yue Guang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Jing Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cai Yue Guang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Alagoano in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when -BZF- Petrolul Berca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Chen Sha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Isăilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atahan Kutbay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Ninjas in Pyjamas got a corner. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rareș Tatulici ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 74 minutes -BZF- Petrolul Berca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rareș Tatulici who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Jing Feng in the 83rd minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Cai Yue Guang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Isăilă in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atahan Kutbay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Basarab Stanciu in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ninjas in Pyjamas's Hector Morientes. Atahan Kutbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Isăilă in the 88th minute of the match. Yu Chen Sha kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Atahan Kutbay was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rareș Tatulici. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
