After a rather tough play, Chuquisaca's Xesus Abarca got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 19 minutes of play, Chuquisaca's Werner Colvin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hong Qing was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Alvar Ponce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Werner Colvin took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hong Qing. Hong Qing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 35th minute Werner Colvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Chuquisaca's goalkeeper Fabrizio Catapano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Donose. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Colvin in the 42nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper Hong Qing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute of the match, Alvar Ponce got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabrizio Catapano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 47th minute, Werner Colvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Donose stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Alan Marinelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. After some careless play in the Chuquisaca defense, Anton Donose kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabrizio Catapano. The Chuquisaca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabrizio Catapano should have stopped the shot. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was substituted for Anton Donose.
