After a defensive mix-up in Internacional's zone, Ponciano Abarca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Rulli came out of the goal and Ponciano Abarca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 程烨瑜's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 程烨瑜 helped the player get up and apologised. 程烨瑜 kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Internacional's Zigor Abeita got a free kick in the 14th minute. Geronimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Ariel Vidal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Barovero. River CBBA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Vidal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sergio Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Michael Laudrup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute River CBBA were awarded a corner. Modesto Ado went to the cornerflag to take it. Sergio Batista hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Vidal in the 39th minute of play. Ponciano Abarca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Geronimo Rulli made a huge save. 42 minutes into the game, Internacional's 程烨瑜 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Barovero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Vidal in the 46th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River CBBA's Cipriano Abechuco was substituted for Varis Birgelis. In the 51st minute Internacional were awarded a corner. Michael Laudrup went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Internacional's corner Michael Laudrup fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Barovero quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

River CBBA's Guerau Abeitia was substituted for Modesto Ado. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Funes to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan Funes spun around in front of the goal 63 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Internacional's goal. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Sergio Batista got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 71 minutes River CBBA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Michael Laudrup who took care of the corner kick. Internacional's Michael Laudrup was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcelo Barovero in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A throw-in in the 81st minute of the game was made by Marian Swoboda with Ege Deniz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Zigor Abeita hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Ege Deniz. Argoitz Abeijon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arano Abendano to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal in the 102nd minute to try and stop a shot by Internacional's Ariel Vidal. But to his dismay, Ariel Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.
