With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedict Peeters in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Macedo saved FC SOLOTHURN from getting behind. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedict Peeters in the 7th minute of play. FC SOLOTHURN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Panait Stolniciu in the 14th minute. Jeroen Maenhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anfilogino Sasso was the one to do the kick off. Niek Molhoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Sasso in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Benedict Peeters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeroen Maenhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Josué Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinand Fabrys short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Josué Macedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Niek Molhoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Hagi in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Gheorghe Hagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niek Molhoek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, FC SOLOTHURN's Gheorghe Hagi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niek Molhoek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jerom Van De Velden hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Josué Macedo made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Ferdinand Fabry sent off a good shot on target. Raymond Vrankx made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC SOLOTHURN's Gustaw Zuraw. Fausto Massa hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Fabry in the 81st minute of play forced FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Josué Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henri-Xavier Lenaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Josué Macedo made a huge save. FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC SOLOTHURN from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Jeroen Maenhout made a precise shot to the right of Josué Macedo. FC SOLOTHURN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Fabry in the 96th minute of play.
