The audience was convinced that Bartolo Leoiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilvan Sanches was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Godoi in the 12th minute of play forced Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Bartolo Leoiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Squad FC's Gilvan Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Maia in the 16th minute of play. Rolando Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulisses Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilvan Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute Bartolo Leoiar suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Cláudio Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
