Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Oskitz in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Merexildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aldo Bilintx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Leoiar in the 23rd minute of play. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Balasi in the 27th minute of play. Mauro Odon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, PGE FC's Eriberto Charro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Abelardo Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 minutes, Claudio Bucciarelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo 11 and the PGE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to San Lorenzo 11 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Claudio Bucciarelli hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes San Lorenzo 11 got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Bucciarelli. In the 88th match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Ospin to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Oskitz in the 90th minute of play. Agustin Feliz's late challenge caught a PGE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Feliz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PGE FC booed when San Lorenzo 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Feliz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
