A collision led to Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Vasyl Yarovyi hit a great ball. Mefodiy Rakovytsja received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robert Seagrave came out and tried to block the shot, but Mefodiy Rakovytsja slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. Arsen Odyntsov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Olly Crawshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasyl Levyga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Lovett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasyl Levyga having to interfere. Robert Seagrave showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Platon Zakharchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olly Crawshaw in the 35th minute of play forced Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's goalkeeper Vasyl Levyga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Olly Crawshaw left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sedlescombe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Oliver Lovett came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sedlescombe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Lovett couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arsen Odyntsov to make the kick off. Olly Crawshaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Vasyl Levyga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Arsen Odyntsov made a precise shot to the right of Robert Seagrave. Sedlescombe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar booed when Sedlescombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Dines didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sedlescombe's Denny Parry got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ashley Kear kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Yefymenko in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Seagrave saved Sedlescombe from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Sedlescombe's goal looked a bit too open when Arsen Odyntsov came free, but Robert Seagrave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
