When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Iosif Frățilă sped through Forel SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lyonel Fossati. When Leopoldo Muench came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Forel SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Muench couldn't finish the play. In the 11thth minute of the game Eduard Ecobescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forel SC's Lyonel Fossati was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Muench in the 18th minute of play forced Deville's goalkeeper Eliodor Curcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Lionel Rinert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florin Ababei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Wildhaber in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliodor Curcă saved Deville from getting behind. The supporters of Forel SC booed when Deville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Lăcătușu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deville's goalkeeper Eliodor Curcă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Muench might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliodor Curcă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Muench ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Deville booed when Forel SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Tudorică didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lyonel Fossati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Ecobescu in the 39th minute of play. A hard shot 44 in the game by Florin Ababei from a close distance when the talented Lyonel Fossati managed to make a qualified save. Forel SC's players were relieved. Lyonel Fossati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Ecobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliodor Curcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Muench in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduard Ecobescu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Florin Ababei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Manole Lupescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Forel SC booed when Deville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Frățilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Forel SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek Bögli to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Ababei in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyonel Fossati saved Forel SC from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Forel SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Emanuel Coșeriu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Eduard Ecobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Ecobescu in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyonel Fossati saved Forel SC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Florin Ababei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deville's supporters rose to their feet, but Florin Ababei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyonel Fossati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Derek Bögli fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forel SC's protests and gave Derek Bögli a yellow card for diving instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deville had played much better football throughout.
