Apocalipse FC's Gianluigi Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Apocalipse FC from getting a goal against them. Gianluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Velloso in the 17th minute of the match. Jardel Velloso spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Apocalipse FC's goal. 23 minutes into the match, Apocalipse FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Hooker came free, but Gianluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Rodrigues in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Talló prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 48th minute Jardel Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
