Plebeyos were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Moscovi Ψ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Kostadinov took the corner. Plebeyos's Valentin Vergaray was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kiliz Mauleon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Emil Kostadinov put in a rough tackle. Plebeyos:s Arsenio Cordeal showed great skill when he stopped Edgard Eudoxio:s penalty. 42 minutes into the game, Moscovi Ψ's Edgard Eudoxio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arsenio Cordeal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Kåre Uter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kiliz Mauleon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Moscovi Ψ made a substitution. Ovidio Rey replaced Guillermo Marz. Moscovi Ψ's Marco Oinatz was substituted for Patricio Bamford. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plebeyos's goalkeeper Arsenio Cordeal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
