But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piara Santo couldn't finish the play. StardustRevolution's Piara Santo got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of StardustRevolution booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cui Zheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piara Santo got free with Juan Giraldo in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. StardustRevolution's Jairo Virila quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Omar Santo, made in the 14th minute of the game. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Giraldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Piara Santo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Hector Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Chap in the 26th minute of play. If Piara Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Piara Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Giraldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Modesto Marcones notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of StardustRevolution's Hector Grabiel. Hector Grabiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Forever Tango's Natalio Benet was substituted for Modesto Marcones. Forever Tango's Florencio Oihan was substituted for Juan Raúl Amuchástegui. The StardustRevolution players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Forever Tango were winning 0-1.

Juan Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piara Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florencio Oihan got free with Hector Grabiel in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Virila kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. StardustRevolution's Hector Grabiel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save StardustRevolution from getting a goal against them. Hector Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Benet in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Forever Tango's Mart Valdma got a free kick in the 71st minute. Gary Lineker struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Juan Giraldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for StardustRevolution. 78 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's Natalio Benet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Grabiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute of the match Forever Tango got a corner. StardustRevolution's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josu Valls ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 79 played minutes Forever Tango got a freekick which was hit by Elias Manilan. In the 85th minute Gary Lineker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Lineker in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, StardustRevolution's Hector Grabiel got control of the ball when Elias Manilan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goal looked a bit too open when Gary Lineker came free, but Juan Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Narciso Chap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 99 minutes into the match, Gary Lineker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Giraldo. Forever Tango's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gary Lineker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
