The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Saturno's zone, Stacey Banning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Roma came out of the goal and Stacey Banning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Kaczeniak struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Eulalio Francesco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saturno. Saturno's Antonio Roma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Saturno from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Kaczeniak in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Francesco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eulalio Francesco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Kaczeniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When John Presley fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River tu grato nombre's protests and gave John Presley a yellow card for diving instead. Eulalio Francesco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Lauaxeta in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th play minute Stacey Banning came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Antonio Roma. 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Lauaxeta came free, but Eulalio Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Rexino made in the 36th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emanuel Timo immediately put the ball in play. Antonio Roma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stacey Banning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Kaczeniak in the 40th minute of play forced River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Eulalio Francesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Apolo Lauaxeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Francesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Saturno's Marcial Aballe got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stacey Banning to make the kick off. Antonio Roma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stacey Banning in the 51st minute of the match. Antonio Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stacey Banning, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Antonio Roma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stacey Banning's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Bon Scott replaced Stacey Banning. 70 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Kaczeniak came free, but Eulalio Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Bon Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Roma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bon Scott in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bon Scott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Roma was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Saturno made a substitution. Laureano Perfecto replaced Apolo Lauaxeta. Saturno's Gert Gronden was substituted for Emanuel Timo. River tu grato nombre's Cameron Bartley managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Orlando Rexino in the 84 minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Igor Kaczeniak notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of River tu grato nombre's Eulalio Francesco. Eulalio Francesco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Igor Kaczeniak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eulalio Francesco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Bon Scott might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Roma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bon Scott ran back to his position shaking his head. River tu grato nombre were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
