Günalp Taştan was a little too slow when Olavo Matorin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 4-0. Günalp Taştan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laerte Lucas in the 36th minute. A collision led to Bitelon FC - SAF getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Agnaldo Batista hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Olavo Matorin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Günalp Taştan, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimitris Papaggelatos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Bitelon FC - SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho Seco to maneuver through the defense. Günalp Taştan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Lucas in the 55th minute of the match. Fernandão Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Günalp Taştan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bitelon FC - SAF's Lautaro-Gabriel Viana was substituted for Dimitris Papaggelatos. Geovânio Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovânio Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Bitelon FC - SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Rosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Olavo Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Günalp Taştan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montevideo's Fernandão Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Montevideo fully deserved thier win.
