Nilson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Salcedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Bandelocos's Rafael Sobis got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute Rafael Sobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Goodwin in the 21st minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Radamel Aguero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nilson do Vale. The goal made the score 1-0. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natã dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Salcedo in the 34th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Goodwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Fittipaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radamel Aguero got free with Nilson do Vale in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46thth minute of the game Santiago Salcedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Henry Tormes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Nilson do Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the match, Flores da Cunha - RS's Radamel Aguero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nilson do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rafael Sobis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel Aguero in the 68th minute of the match. Elias Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Flores da Cunha - RS fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Flores da Cunha - RS's Santiago Salcedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elias Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santiago Salcedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson do Vale came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Flores da Cunha - RS's Viestards Graudiņš. But to his dismay, Viestards Graudiņš quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 85 minutes into the match, Radamel Aguero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nilson do Vale. Bandelocos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radamel Aguero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Flores da Cunha - RS fully deserved thier win.
