The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Veloso got free with Sylwester Zarobski in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clemente Abraão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Sylwester Zarobski made a huge save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Cavalcante made a kick off. If Valdo Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Valdo Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Zarobski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sylwester Zarobski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Veloso in the 62nd minute of the match. Grêmio 20 Julho's Sylwester Zarobski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Veloso in the 71st minute of play. Valdo Veloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sylwester Zarobski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdo Veloso ran back to his position shaking his head. Dinamo Colorado's Davi Lamonica was substituted for Valdo Veloso. Valdir Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinamo Colorado's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Valdir Cavalcante scored to the left of an out of position Fabrício Negri, making the score, 2-1. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when Dinamo Colorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavi Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
