Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice moves Laerte Lucas could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Ismael Mendes however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Lucas got free with Ismael Mendes in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Radamel Aguero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Ismael Mendes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 33 minutes into the match, Flores da Cunha - RS's goalkeeper Ismael Mendes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bray McJon. In the 35th minute of the match Montevideo got a corner. Flores da Cunha - RS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilson Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Montevideo's Olavo Matorin to fire away a dangerous shot which Ismael Mendes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Damian Brzakala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ronaldo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Radamel Aguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ksawery Buczko hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Wilson Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute of the match, Olavo Matorin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ismael Mendes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 44 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Aguero came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Radamel Aguero was the one to do the kick off. Ismael Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Lucas in the 57th minute of play. Alex Goodwin charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Goodwin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 77 minutes into the match, Flores da Cunha - RS's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Lucas came free, but Ismael Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernandão Recife hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Christian Passos. After recieving a nice pass, Flores da Cunha - RS's Santiago Salcedo tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Radamel Aguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radamel Aguero took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldo Medeiros. Ronaldo Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 94th minute of the match Fernandão Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Mendes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Montevideo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
