Wei Guang Xing's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Paulo Gaizkine skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Soares made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Miguel Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wei Guang Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catugi FC's Paulo Gaizkine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomir Narbut in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jaime França hit a great ball. MONTANHA's Víctor Cuesta got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Gaizkine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Guang Xing in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Dráuzio Severo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Edson Couto's late challenge caught a MONTANHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edson Couto helped the player get up and apologised. MONTANHA made a substitution. Dinei Montenegro replaced Dráuzio Severo. In the 97th minute of the match Víctor Cuesta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Gaizkine skillfully saved the ball. MONTANHA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
