The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Oséias Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis got control of the ball when Clemente Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match, Valdo Veloso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Flavinho Reis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Aloísio Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting a goal against them. Clemente Abraão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavinho Reis came out and tried to block the shot, but Clemente Abraão slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Flavinho Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Veloso in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Abraão in the 23rd minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Flavinho Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mauricio Bitxintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Reis having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Valdo Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Flavinho Reis. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Veloso in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Dinamo Colorado's Valdo Veloso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Aloísio Donato made the kick off in the second half. Aloísio Donato struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Fabrício Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CE LAJEADENSE RS. Fabrício Negri made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Aloísio Donato sent off a good shot on target. CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Dinamo Colorado's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giuseppe Pinheiro took the corner. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Aloísio Donato was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aloísio Donato who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Fabrício Negri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aloísio Donato did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Fabrício Negri 60 minutes into the match. Valdo Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavinho Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. When Valdo Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Dinamo Colorado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Veloso couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Aloísio Donato could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Fabrício Negri however easily saved by the left post. CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Dinamo Colorado's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giuseppe Pinheiro took the corner. The corner ended in Giuseppe Pinheiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dinamo Colorado's Fabrício Negri did a great save. Dinamo Colorado's Bruninho Oliveira was substituted for Oséias Veloso. In the 81st minute 卓潮川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Bitxintxo in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Tiaguinho Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinamo Colorado made a substitution. Douglas Domingues replaced Ramiro Harriet. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Dinamo Colorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabrício Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Donato in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Rüknettin Boğatekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Dinamo Colorado's zone, Giuseppe Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Negri came out of the goal and Giuseppe Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The CE LAJEADENSE RS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CE LAJEADENSE RS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
