That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Tronconi came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Walmir Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmir Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Francisco Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Pombal in the 42nd minute. Carlos Alberto Soares hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Tronconi in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harold Tronconi was the one to do the kick off. When Grêmio RK75's Harold Tronconi in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Markus Paul Hattermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miguel Pimenta hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Markus Paul Hattermann sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka didn't even have to move. After 85 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Maranhense. Fabiano Maranhense hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. A hard shot 95 in the game by Harold Tronconi from a close distance when the talented Reko Nybacka managed to make a qualified save. Catugi FC's players were relieved. Harold Tronconi had several of the Catugi FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Reko Nybacka as he didn't even see the shot coming.
