Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintino Carvalhais in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Quintino Carvalhais came free, but Zézinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Amado Parente got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zézinho Simões quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Quintino Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Adán made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Inácio Freitas sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho Simões came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Braga's Quintino Carvalhais. But to his dismay, Quintino Carvalhais quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Quintino Carvalhais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Porto in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zigmantas Gimbutas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Braga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amado Parente in the 54th minute. SC Braga's Amado Parente was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zézinho Simões in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 56th minute Vágner Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Braga's Stig-Åke Mattsson was substituted for Zigmantas Gimbutas. MarquinhosEC's Florin Susara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Antonio Adán in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Malheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Carvalhais in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Freitas came free, but Antonio Adán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Adán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Susara, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, SC Braga's Stig-Åke Mattsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zézinho Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Braga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amado Parente in the 79th minute. The corner ended in Amado Parente almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões did a great save. 80 minutes into the match, Vágner Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Adán. SC Braga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 88th minute, Stig-Åke Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Freitas in the 90th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Adán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The MarquinhosEC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Braga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
