Febre Amarela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 86 minutes into the game, Cláudio Trigo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Febre Amarela's Umberto Britto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lenílson Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fang Bing Lei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lenílson Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. The Pistolero Tricolor FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Febre Amarela to win.
