Arí Pereira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Antonio Adán when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arí Pereira to make the kick off. 53 minutes in the game Amado Parente did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Quintino Carvalhais. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quintino Carvalhais got free with Dida Nascimento in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quintino Carvalhais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Nascimento having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Mattsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Nascimento was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Dida Nascimento was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jon-Egil Sætre. 95 minutes into the match, LauerArmy's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Mattsson came free, but Dida Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Braga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
